Description
Candide BC 111 Float-First Freeride Performer
When Candide Thovex left Faction to create something entirely his own, the freeride world watched with anticipation. The result? A line of skis that channels his uncompromising visionstarting with the BC 111, a backcountry-focused freeride ski that reflects Candides signature style: fast, fluid, and full of creativity.
The BC 111 is built to charge powder lines with confidence, surf natural features, and still handle the ride out with edge grip and control. It features the C-Light Core, a proprietary blend of lightweight paulownia and lively poplar woods, reinforced with fiberglass and carbon for a strong yet responsive feel. At 1900g per ski (186 cm), its light enough to move swiftly in the backcountry, but strong enough to stomp landings and arc through chopped-up snow.
Candides skiing has always blurred the line between art and aggressionand this ski follows suit. The Adaptive Rocker Profile delivers tip and tail float with camber underfoot for all-condition versatility. The Triple-Radius Sidecut blends tight tips and tails with a straighter midsection, allowing both playful pivots and stable fall-line attacks. Whether you’re spinning off natural booters or pointing big alpine faces, the BC 111 adapts.
The 138-111-134 mm shape, dual mounting points (Candides own or regular), and durable techlike a scratch-resistant Corund topsheet and P-TEX 4000 basemake this a tool worthy of the skier its named after. Handmade in the EU and dialled to perfection, the BC 111 is freeride skiing, Candide-style.
