Description
With the Tecnica Zero G Peak Carbon, Tecnica has entered the sub-1000 gram boot category with a boot that skis as well as it tours. Tecnica won our hearts with the Zero G boot line because simply put, they skied so dang well. With the Peak series, Tecnica has applied that same uncompromising attention to downhill performance into a boot that’s light enough for even the most die-hard speed tourers. The result is a boot that is a genre-bending blend of uphill speed and downhill performance and rigidity.
Tecnica has taken years of experience making the some of best-performing downhill boots on the market and applied that knowledge to the Peak. They’ve used an overlapping shell design which gives a better performance fit and a “T-Hike” walking mechanism which is a lightened version of the bomber walk mech on the Zero G boots. This means the full carbon cuff has a completely rigid connection to the rest of the boot and ensures lateral power transfer and a strong, progressive flex. The Peak Carbon also has a Power Frame and Carbon Co-injection, this allows the overall thickness of the shell to be reduced while still maintaining remarkable torsional stiffness. The sole of the Peak Carbon is reinforced with bi-directional carbon fiber for an additional 10% boost in torsional stiffness so you can have unparalleled edge control. A boot is only as good as its fit, and the Tecnica C.A.S. liner and shell ensure this boot will fit like a glove. The liner is fully moldable and dual-density foam around the heel offers maximum heal retention. The C.A.S. shell is punchable and optimized for the customization process, so hot spots can be a thing of the past. The Tecnica Zero G Peak Carbon packs downhill performance into every gram, and the result is a true mountain conquering, powder slashing, vert crushing beast. Throw out everything you think you know about how light boots should ski the game has been changed.
