ATK HY 13 Free Alpine Touring Bindings – Premium Backcountry Performance
Industry-Leading Durability & Machined Aluminum Construction
With their durability and top of the line performance, ATK has rapidly emerged as a leader in backcountry bindings. No binding shows this more than the meticulously crafted Hy Free 13 binding. Constructed entirely from machined aluminum, all 22 structural components per half pair are metal to handle the most rough and rowdy skiing. Just ask elite skier Nikolai Schirmer. For those who want an alpine feel in their touring binding, the Hy Free lies nearly flat in ski mode, giving you an on-ski feel akin to the Look Pivot series.
Optimized for Tours & Freeride Skiing
While it weighs in higher than competitors like the Raider Evo 13, the Hy Free is suited for long tours. The heel sits 18mm lower than the toe in flat mode, allowing a natural stride even with boots that have limited cuff rotation. Two heel risers assist on steeper climbs, while switching from tour to ski mode is quick and intuitivejust tilt the toe wings forward 90 degrees and push the heel lever back. Among hybrid bindings, the Hy Free 13 sets the benchmark for a capable touring binding that’s ready to charge.
